Here at Castlefield Kennels we provide many other complementary services for your pets.

Grooming Parlour

All size dogs plus cats, rabbits and guinea pigs can all enjoy a pampering in our fully established Grooming Parlour. Pet trims and de-matting, clipping of the nails or a wash and blow dry are all available on site, with specially formulated products to suit coat type and sensitive skins.

Training Hall

We have a purpose built indoor training hall here at Castlefield. Expertly used by the Ilkeston District Dog Training Club which is run by experienced trainer Hazel Reynolds, the hall caters for Pet Obedience, Fun Agility and the KC Good Citizen Scheme.

All dogs of different abilities are welcome to come and scrub up on their skills! Within the hall there is also an area for photography, providing plain coloured back drops and a raised platform to achieve the best image of your pet.

Pet Courier

This is an outside service which we can recommend for you and your pets if transport is a problem or they are not good travellers. Dogs needing a home

We work with Erewash Borough, Gedling Borough and occasionally Nottingham City to accept stray dogs found in their areas.

If any of the dogs are not reclaimed after the statutory eight days here, we try to find new homes for those suitable. To see the dogs we have available, and information about them, please go to our Gallery Page.
